Choose your programme We offer many roles you may not be aware of. So do your research and work out which roles interest you most. Narrowing it down can be tough, so you can apply for more than one. Here’s how to start choosing.

- Get an insight into what it’s like to work for us by hearing directly from the analysts and interns featured in the personal profiles
- Meet us on campus or come along to one of the insight days we host at our office. Find out where we’ll be and when in our events
Choose the online application and your CV Our application form will help us get to know you better. It asks for your contact details and educational background, as well as more open questions about your work experience and why you want to work for us. Carefully considered answers to these open questions will help you stand out, because it shows you’ve done your research and thought about your application. We’ll also ask you to attach your CV, so make sure it’s up to date and tailored to the role you’re applying for.
Complete the online assessments Impress us with your online application and we’ll email you some online assessments to complete. These timed assessments will test your verbal and numerical skills, so be sure to complete some practice tests first to help you become familiar with the format. And, when you’re ready to start the tests we’ve sent, make sure you’re in a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed.
Telephone interview The interview lasts around 30 minutes, and it’s an opportunity for us to get to know you better. We ask a combination of competency-based questions and technical questions to get a better understanding of your knowledge and experiences. Assessment Day This is where we meet you in person – and where you meet people from across MUFG. You’ll take part in group exercises, a business interview and networking sessions. Here’s how to do your best.
- Prepare – as with the telephone interview, research our business and make sure you’re up to date with what’s currently happening in the financial markets. Take part in mock interviews and practise your answers so you’re clear on key points you’d like to get across
- First impressions count, so make sure you know where your assessment day will be and arrive at least 15 minutes early
- Get involved in different activities and contribute to each task
- Be yourself – all the exercises are designed to identify your strengths
